While families are asked to pack a cold lunch each day, our center provides nutritious breakfasts and snacks to support your child’s daily routine.

How The Children’s Academy Came to Be

In January 2002, Christine and Robert Rosnick opened The Children’s Academy in Weirton, WV. Their mission was to provide the Weirton community with an education-based, comprehensive child care center. They expanded on their overwhelming success with the opening of our Wintersville facility in November 2011. The Children’s Academy continues its distinguished reputation as an established child care center in the Ohio Valley region that is respected for its longevity and quality services.

Lauren Boni – Wintersville Director

Lauren has grown up as an important part of The Children’s Academy’s early education facility journey. Not only did she spend endless hours there as Christine’s daughter, but she has worked at The Children’s Academy since she was 17 years old. Lauren earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education from West Virginia University. She has been the director of the Ohio site for the past five years. Lauren has been an integral part of the Academy’s success and growth. She will eventually take over as the director of all of the sites upon her mother’s retirement!
