The Creative Curriculum
Our West Virginia locations follow The Creative Curriculum, a comprehensive early learning framework aligned with the West Virginia Early Learning Standards Framework. This curriculum is grounded in developmentally appropriate practices and is approved statewide as a leading standard in early childhood education.
To better track each child’s progress and development, we incorporate Teaching Strategies GOLD®—a digital tool that assists with lesson planning, developmental assessments, and identifying early learning needs. It allows our educators to monitor individual growth and adapt instruction accordingly.
Frog Street Curriculum
In our three-year-old preschool classrooms, we use the Frog Street Curriculum, which blends academic and social-emotional learning through engaging, center-based activities. Children are introduced to core subjects such as math, science, and problem-solving through structured weekly lesson plans.
This curriculum also integrates Conscious Discipline, a widely respected program that promotes emotional regulation, relationship building, and a positive classroom culture. Frog Street is designed to align with The Creative Curriculum standards, ensuring consistency and continuity across all age levels.
ITERS, ECERS, and SACERS Assessments
To support quality across all classroom environments, we utilize age-specific environmental rating scales, including ITERS (Infant/Toddler), ECERS (Early Childhood), and SACERS (School-Age). These assessments guide us in selecting classroom materials, organizing our learning spaces, and enhancing the daily experience for every child.
