About Us
How The Children’s Academy Came to Be
In January 2002, Christine and Robert Rosnick opened The Children’s Academy in Weirton, WV. Their mission was to provide the Weirton community with an education-based, comprehensive child care center. They expanded on their overwhelming success with the opening of our Wintersville facility in November 2011. The Children’s Academy continues its distinguished reputation as an established child care center in the Ohio Valley region that is respected for its longevity and quality services.
Where Early Learning Begins
Give your child a strong start at The Children’s Academy, where we provide nurturing child care and preschool programs beginning as early as six weeks old. Our child care center offers a safe and fun learning environment where children can play, make friends, and get started on a positive educational journey.
Both of our centers, Weirton and Wintersville, are fully accredited and staffed by compassionate educators who are committed to open communication with families and delivering a high-quality early education experience.
We’re open Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and we work with local school districts to accommodate morning and afternoon bus routes for elementary and middle school students. Our school-age program includes meals and snacks, active play, and time for homework—supporting kids before and after their school day.
Many of our families begin with us in infancy and stay through the middle school years. We’re here to grow with your child every step of the way!
